Diane Ziomek

Joined 3 years ago from Alberta, Canada. Last activity 2 weeks ago.

As the weeks go on, I am more pleased to be working from home as a freelancer.  My perseverance is starting to show some real results and is giving me the incentive I need to continue on.  I very much enjoy the time I spend writing articles which are submitted on HubPages as well as a few other sites.

I am a stay-at-home mom who loves quilting, crocheting, gardening and writing.  I also love to read and learn new things.  I am hard-pressed to leave a bookstore without a new book in hand.

I live on an acreage and we have horses, cats, dogs, alpacas and a pot-bellied pig. The alpacas keep it interesting as they occasionally like to pull a Houdini Act, but I wouldn't give them up for anything. I have been working with their fleece and have taught myself to spin on a drop-spindle; a spinning wheel is on my "to buy" list.

I also very recently (September 2012) published Writeful Advice which is available on Kindle and in print at CreateSpace and Amazon. It is a guide with the book writer in mind. For anyone considering writing nonfiction I encourage you to read this book, as it simplifies the process. It was written with the new writer in mind, and based on my personal experiences with writing and self-publishing.

I would also like to say that I participated in NaNoWriMo 2012 and it is possible to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. I wrote The Hidden Estate in November, and edited and self-published in December. It is available on Amazon and Kobo, as well as in PDF on my website.

I like to take a moment to thank all of those who have commented on my Hubs and to all of my followers. The feedback is very important as it lets me improve where necessary.

Have a great day!
